Microsoft submitted Linux kernel patches for 'complete virtualization stack' with Linux and Hyper-V

Microsoft has submitted a series of patches to the Linux kernel with its aim being "to create a complete virtualization stack with Linux and Microsoft Hypervisor." The key change is that with the patched kernel, Linux will run as the Hyper-V root partition. Microsoft has also ported Intel's open-source Cloud Hypervisor, a Virtual Machine Monitor that normally runs on KVM.

60 more SpaceX satellites have joined the Starlink fleet

Elon Musk wants to create a constellation made up of thousands of Starlink satellites that can offer high speed internet anywhere on the planet. Another 60 SpaceX satellites were launched from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida to join the rest of the Starlink fleet. In just the last month, there have been three successful launches and deployments, making SpaceX the largest fleet of satellites in the world, with more than 700 currently in orbit.

WSL2 (LInux) is now available for Windows 10 1903 and 1909 users
