Notes:
Our prize draw was random; each in-studio audience member was given a ticket at the door, and the stub of their ticket (containing their number) was placed in the tumbler (shown right). We forgot to think through what to do with the "already won" tickets--so several times, the already used tickets got called out more than once, as we were setting them down on the table next to the actual winner's ticket. Whoops! Ah well, that's live broadcasting for you. Following the show, I looked further into the PowerPoint-to-DVD issue. The problem with this type of conversion is that the PPT has to first be rendered to a video, and then converted to DVD VOB files. But, PPT2DVD looks like the answer! It does it all in one fell swoop, and for just about $100. After the show, in-studio viewers were welcomed to take a close look at the Thermaltake Xaser VI computer chassis (which can be seen in the wide shot above to Robbie's right). Both the Xaser VI and Olens' XPJ Projector were used in the live performance of this episode in order to demonstrate these devices which we had previously reviewed on Category5 Technology TV. Thank you for all your help with this event. Our viewers also owe you a big thanks, because behind-the-scenes, I'd be willing to bet Category5 would not exist were it not for all your encouragement and support over the past year. Ben Proulx: Your help with tedious errands, transporting and helping setup our equipment, running the prize draw... so many things you've done for us (too many to mention) - your help was invaluable. Jeff Lye: Thanks for taking the visual to the next level for us and for providing the additional camera we needed to make the event a success. Barrie Free Methodist Church: We had serious microphone issues during our tests, and BFMC came through for us and loaned us a couple microphones to make the event work. Carrie's lapel in particular, and the audience microphone--thank you for helping us out! Carri Ferguson: My sister. Thanks for watching the kids for Bekah and I so we could hold this event. It was so wonderful that Bekah could be there with me to celebrate our one year anniversary. And of course, Carrie Webb: You've really helped me take Category5 to the next level. I've wanted a co-host for some time just for the help that a co-host could provide. But your personality, coupled with the fact that you "just do what you do" without need for direction or training... wow! I couldn't have asked for a better co-host. Thank you! Here's to year # 2!

In-studio Viewer Question: I installed Entropia Universe, but all I see is beige. What is going on?
