Links: Notes: For the sake of accuracy, I actually looked it up - LOL - here's what Wikipedia says about PKZIP: "The first version of PKZIP appeared in 1989. It was a DOS command-line tool and was distributed as shareware with a $25 registration fee." Something I had intended to mention about using nvidia-settings: if you want your settings to be remembered after rebooting your computer, make sure you save it to your xorg.conf file. In order to do this, rather than launching nvidia-settings, you must launch it as super user: gksudo nvidia-settings - then, once you have it set the way you like, press "Save to X Configuration File" on the X Server Display Configuration page. Make sure you merge the settings with your existing file, otherwise you'll actually be overwriting it. Now, the settings will be saved to your configuration. No one has commented on this article. |
