Description:

Beginning Wednesday September 17, 2008 and ending Monday September 29, 2008, Category5 Technology TV hosted a scavenger hunt within the Entropia Universe.  In order to qualify, viewers had to achieve and fulfill all of the listed requirements for each of the three Quests listed below.  All qualifying participants had their names entered into the final draw, and on Tuesday September 30, 2008 three winners were announced based on a random draw.

Contest Winners:

Prizes were awarded in the form of Entropia Universe PED card codes.  Winners deposited their awarded PED by entering the code on the Entropia Universe web site.

Now That It's Over . . .

Don't let the fact that the contest is done and gone stop you from participating in these Quests.   The EU Scavenger Hunt Quests were designed by the Category5 team specifically to introduce players to the Entropia Universe.  It starts off rather easy, and becomes progressively more challenging.  Give it a try, and enjoy Entropia Universe!

On With The Hunt!

QUEST # 1 - "Welcome to Calypso"

1. Print or display the map of Eudoria from RexDameon's helpful Entropia Universe web site, found at rexdameon.atspace.com 
2. PORT ATLANTIS: Find the area shown in this screenshot.  Take a screenshot of your avatar in front of this.  See Robbie's example.
3. Run to SWEAT CAMP.  This is the first 'dot' you see North-West of Port Atlantis on your map.  Watch out for creatures along the way.  Press M to display your on-screen map to compare your location to that of your printout.
4. SWEAT CAMP: Find the row of tame animals shown in this screenshot.  Take a screenshot of yourself next to one of the tame animals.  See Robbie's example.  Sweat some animals out in the field along with the other players found there.  Take a screenshot of yourself sweating an animal, and make sure at least one other players is seen sweating somewhere in the screenshot.  See Robbie's example.
5. Return to PORT ATLANTIS.  Use the teleporter (TP) there to teleport to TREASURE ISLAND, which you will find on the continent of Amethera.
6. TREASURE ISLAND: Find One Eyed Billy Bar, as shown in this screenshot.  Take a screenshot of yourself with the sign clearly visible.  See Robbie's example.oiding many deadly mobs.

QUEST # 2 - "The Eastward Journey"

Note: You might need a weapon to make this run.  Take a look at the Sollomate Opalo, which sells for only 3.80 PED at any Trade Terminal.

1. Back on the continent of Eudoria, depart PORT ATLANTIS and head North-East to BILLY'S SPACESHIP AFTERWORLD.  Find the unfortunate passenger from this screenshot.  Take a screenshot of yourself with the sorry traveler visible.  See Robbie's example.
2. Continue South-East to ZYCHION CITADEL.  When you arrive, find the area shown in this screenshot.  Take a screenshot of your avatar.  See Robbie's example.
3. Run East to EAST SCYLIA MOUNTAINS so that you have the Teleporter there.
4. Head North/North-East to JASON CENTER.  Find the view shown in this screenshot. Once you've positioned your avatar for a screenshot, take one.  See Robbie's example.
5. Use the Teleporter to transport yourself back to EAST SCYLIA MOUNTAINS.
6. Head East/South-East to TWIN PEAKS.  There are two Teleporters there.  Secure both of them.
7. Now, while in TWIN PEAKS, find the hot-tub as in this screenshot.  Kick back and relax--you deserve it!  But make sure you take a screenshot.   See Robbie's example.

QUEST # 3 - "Avoiding The Allophyl"

Note: During this quest, you are going to encounter powerful and perhaps frightening creatures.  Allophyl, Estophyl, Igni bugs, and more.  While you may be wise to avoid the Allophyl altogether, we still recommend you carry your Sollomate Opalo with you, and plenty of ammo.  It may also help to do this quest with at least one other person, as you may run into creatures too powerful for only one Opalo.  Good luck!

1. Find your way to FORT FURY.  A good idea may be to swim through the channel to get yourself nearly there while avoiding many deadly mobs.  Watch out for killer fishies along the way!
2. When you arrive in FORT FURY, find the Junkyard Bar in this screenshot. Take a screenshot for your submission.  See Robbie's example.
3. Continue North-East to ATLAS HAVEN.  Secure the teleporter there and find the scene in this screenshot.  Snap a screenshot.  See Robbie's example.
4. Now, it's time to head East to AEGIS MOUND.  Secure the teleporter there.  Then, find the building in this screenshot.  Grab a screenshot of your avatar.  See Robbie's example.
5. Let's head to the art district to finish up our quest.  Teleport to NEW OXFORD, which is on the continent of Amethera.  Make sure you spend some time looking in the various shops and galleries.  Find the scene in this screenshot.  Set up your screenshot and include it for your submission.  See Robbie's example.

Don't stop here!  These three quests were designed to help introduce new players to Entropia Universe.  But don't let this be the end of your Quest!  Challenge yourself; try getting the teleporter in Camp Caravan, and North Space Base.  Explore the vast world of Calypso, and increase your skills.
